Wrap Around Care

A flexible, licensed option with experienced teachers

If you need an earlier start time, or a later pick-up time, enroll in our Wrap Around Care Program. The program is offered in a bright and spacious classroom and uses free-choice and structured learning opportunities to promote an all-encompassing educational experience.

Wrap Care can be added for enrolled children before class, after class, and on Fridays when 4-year-old kindergarten (4K) is not in session. Arrangements for each day are tailored to the needs of the family, and you'll have an option to commit to from one to five days. Drop-in care is also available, space permitting.

Fees & Schedule

There is a one-time, non-refundable registration fee which covers enrollment processing, milk, and project supplies.

Weekly wrap tuition due is based on the schedule you choose, using our AM class or PM class rate sheets. Tuition is due weekly the Friday before care is provided. A late fee  will be charged if the balance is not paid within 7 days. Payment is required for each day the child is scheduled to attend even if the child is absent due to illness, vacation, or school closings caused by inclement weather. Drop-in care is available, space permitting. With the exception of annually determined center-wide closed days, wrap care will remain open.  If enrolled in wrap care for the portion of the day the child is not in the 3K or 4K classroom (before or after typical 3K and 4K times), Pumpkin Patch will assume the child will attend wrap care for the entire day and the family will be billed accordingly.

Requirements

A co-operative school depends on its community of parents.  Parents serve on our Board of Directors, fundraise for the school, help maintain the school and grounds, provide and restock supplies, clean, paint, and more. Every family is asked to contribute their talents and their unique perspective to our children and our school.

These are the specific requirements for Preschool and 4k families who have a child enrolled in Wrap Around Care:

Nap Requirement

Nap time or quiet time, as regulated by the State of Wisconsin, is offered for at least 30 minutes in the afternoon. Please supply your child with a sleeping bag in a standard sized pillowcase.

Lunch Requirement

Families must supply an individual, daily lunch for their child and it must meet the CACFP Meal Pattern Requirements. A light breakfast and morning, early, and late afternoon snacks are provided by the school.

Parent Participation

Parent cooperation is critical to the success of our school. All Pumpkin Patch preschool and participating wrap-around care families are required to meet fundraising goals and fulfill volunteer responsibilities.

Volunteer
All Pumpkin Patch Preschool and participating wrap-around care families are required to sign up for one volunteer commitment per year. Members who do not participate in a volunteer commitment will pay a $150 fee per year.

A sign-up will be set up at the parent/child orientation. To ensure participation, $150 will be billed to the child’s Bright Wheel account. Families who meet their requirement will be refunded twice during the program year, in January and May.

Fundraising Responsibility
To ensure the funding necessary to support the school’s budget, fundraising events are held throughout the year. The Board determines fundraising focus areas. There are typically a minimum of 2 fundraising opportunities each school year. Each preschool and participating wrap-around care family is expected to raise a minimum of $50 profit (amount to be determined annually by the board of directors) through fundraising or pay the difference. Families will be notified of their fundraising status each semester.

Families wishing to opt out of fundraising are welcome to make a tax-deductible donation to the school that meets or exceeds the annual fundraising minimum requirements. Should a family fail to meet their fundraising requirement, the family will be billed the balance via their Bright Wheel account. Pumpkin Patch Preschool reserves the right to pursue all legal means necessary to collect the funds.
