Our Vision
To be a thriving parent-led cooperative where families and educators work side by side to nurture confident, curious, and compassionate learners—strengthening children, families, and our local community for generations to come.
Our Mission
Powered by parents, inspired by children, and rooted in our local community since 1973, Pumpkin Patch Preschool is a nonprofit parent cooperative dedicated to meaningful early childhood education.
We partner with families to create a nurturing, play-based learning environment where children grow through curiosity, collaboration, and connection. Through active parent involvement and shared leadership, we cultivate a strong community that supports both children and the families who love them.
Our Values
Parent Partnership
We believe parents are a child’s first and most important teachers. Families are active participants in the classroom and the cooperative, working alongside educators to support each child’s development.
Child-Centered Learning
We honor each child’s individuality and natural curiosity. Learning is guided by play, exploration, and hands-on experiences that foster confidence and creativity.
Community & Collaboration
As a cooperative rooted in our community since 1973, we value shared responsibility, open communication, and mutual support among families, staff, and leadership.
Respect & Inclusion
We strive to create a welcoming environment where every child and family feels valued, respected, and supported.
Stewardship & Sustainability
As a nonprofit organization, we are committed to thoughtful governance, responsible decision-making, and preserving our cooperative model for future generations.
