Three-Year-Old Preschool

A Fully licensed and accredited Parent Led Preschool

Our preschool classroom provides a place where your child can learn social skills – how to solve problems, be respectful to others, and compromise – and where they can play with friends, explore, and develop their confidence and a sense of self.

Your child will realize that they can do things for themselves – whether it's getting their own drink or deciding how spend their free choice time – and they will be  introduced to language, letters, numbers, science, dance, art, music and more, through activities and play.

Our goal for each child is to balance their intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and aesthetic growth.

Eligibility

We welcome children 2.5 years and older who are toilet trained and can take care of basic needs such as washing hands, eating without assistance, and going to the bathroom with limited assistance.  Additionally, children should be able to focus on one task for 20-30 minutes, be ready to participate in group activities with limited distraction, demonstrate awareness of others, and be able to listen and follow classroom instructions and safety rules.

Fees & Schedule

There is a one-time, non-refundable registration fee which covers processing, milk, and project supplies.

Tuition is due weekly the Friday before care is provided. A late fee will be charged if the balance is not paid within 7 days. 3K follows the SASD K-12 calendar for 3K programming only. 3K is typically held Monday - Friday, and holds programming on all Fridays the district designates as a school day in the K-12 calendar, independent of the 4K Friday designation. Payment is required for each day the child is scheduled to attend even if the child is absent due to illness, vacation, or school closings caused by inclement weather.

Wrap-around child care is also available before and after preschool.

Requirements

A co-operative school depends on its community of parents.  Parents serve on our Board of Directors, fund-raise for the school, help maintain the school and grounds, provide and restock supplies, clean, paint, and more. Every family is asked to contribute their talents and their unique perspective to our children and our school.

These are the specific requirements for families who have a child enrolled in Preschool:

Snack REQUIREMENT

Families must provide snacks for the class throughout the school year.

Parent Participation

Parent cooperation is critical to the success of our school. All Pumpkin Patch preschool and participating wrap-around care families are required to meet fundraising goals and fulfill volunteer responsibilities.

Volunteer
All Pumpkin Patch Preschool and participating wrap-around care families are required to sign up for one volunteer commitment per year. Members who do not participate in a volunteer commitment will pay a $150 fee per year.

A sign-up will be set up at the parent/child orientation. To ensure participation, $150 will be billed to the child’s Bright Wheel account. Families who meet their requirement will be refunded twice during the program year, in January and May.

Fundraising Responsibility
To ensure the funding necessary to support the school’s budget, fundraising events are held throughout the year. The Board determines fundraising focus areas. There are typically a minimum of 2 fundraising opportunities each school year. Each preschool and participating wrap-around care family is expected to raise a minimum of $50 profit (amount to be determined annually by the board of directors) through fundraising or pay the difference. Families will be notified of their fundraising status each semester.

Families wishing to opt out of fundraising are welcome to make a tax-deductible donation to the school that meets or exceeds the annual fundraising minimum requirements. Should a family fail to meet their fundraising requirement, the family will be billed the balance via their Bright Wheel account. Pumpkin Patch Preschool reserves the right to pursue all legal means necessary to collect the funds.
